Hi,
I've just discovered your website and think it's fantastic! I'll certainly use it to read other North West writers and for research puposes.
I was born in Bolton and have written and published a Young Adult novel which is set in Lancashire in the fictional village of Edgeburn. 'Edgeburn', is based on Rivington in the main, but has been transposed slightly further northwards towards Preston. Lord Leverhulme's Chinese Gardens feature in it as does the quarry area around Angelzarke.
'Edgeburn' is available on Amazon and it would be wonderful if you could promote it on your site and buy it for your libraries. I could possibly give a (free talk) to a reading group if you were interested, though I'm not living in the area now.
After Easter, I'll have a website up and running where you can read an extract from it and also some of my poems set in the North of England.
With best wishes,
Yvonne Lyon
