To Penshurst

I don't think that I have the cheek to claim the poem "To Penshurst" by Ben Jonson as a "find." One or two other folks have found it already. But it is worth emphasising that this is a poem that defined a genre- "The Country House Poem."

Alastair Fowler has compiled the definitive anthology for this genre:

The Country House Poem: A Cabinet of Seventeenth-Century Estate Poems and Related Items, Edinburgh University Press, 1994.
