Tissot A Passing Storm c1876 Find!
A fantastic book celebration the artist Tissot and his Kent connections is by Christopher Wood called 'Tissot'. Pg 88 and 89 highlight the paintings ' A Passing Storm' and 'Room Overlooking the Harbour' both which have a fantastic view of Ramsgate Harbour in the background. These are two of my favourite paintings by him.23 September 2009 from Robert

Both these paintings were painted from the balcony of the Oak Hotel in Ramsgate (which still exists) and 'Passing Storm' was used on the poster for the 1993 Ramsgate Spring Festival.
