Tony Skelton, an antiquarian book dealer based in Shipbourne (near Tonbridge), has knowledge of Jane Austen family connection with Shipbourne i.e. both JA's father (George) & George's cousin (Henry) were clergymen at Shipbourne Church. Plus about poet Christopher Smart (1722-1771) who also lived in Shipbourne. Contact for further information tskelt@waitrose.com

May I draw your attention to our publication of HE Bates' Love in a Wych Elm and other Stories', which has a string Kentish content and is introduced by the author's grandson.

Yours sincerely

David
