The Wonders of the Peake... Find!
Charles Cotton was an English writer and big friend of Izaak Walton. He not only helped to write the second part of the Compleat Angler but he also composed the long topographical poem "The Wonders of the Peake" which is amazingly available as a download digitised by Google from the University Library of Michigan.
In Beresford Dale there stands a fishing temple which was built for his many fishing trips with Izaak Walton and a pub in Hartington bears his name.
(Yes I've been there!)
